According to Advisor Jake Sullivan, there is no sign that Pyongyang has provided large quantities of weapons to Moscow, but negotiations between the two countries are "progressing positively".

"We will continue to speak out and we will continue to call on North Korea to abide by its public commitments not to provide weapons to Russia," Sullivan said at a White House press briefing.

Earlier, there was information that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un might be considering visiting Russia to meet President Vladimir Putin and discuss an arms deal between the two countries.

Advisor Sullivan partially confirmed the above information when he said that the North Korean leader expected high-level engagement with Russia, including at the leadership level.

North Korea has not yet commented, while the Kremlin refused to confirm the information.

Earlier, the US State Department spokesman warned that the country would take action against any country that supports Russia's special military campaign in Ukraine.
