On January 20, the Economic Police Department of Quang Tri Province Police announced that the unit had just issued a decision to prosecute, execute an arrest warrant and search the residence and workplace of Dao Xuan Hung (born in 1985, residing in Quarter 2, Ward 5, Dong Ha City) for the crime of "Lack of responsibility causing serious consequences".

Accordingly, based on the results of the extended investigation into the case of "Abusing position and power in performing official duties" occurring at the People's Committee of Ward 5 (Dong Ha City), the Economic Police Department has issued a decision to prosecute the case of "Lack of responsibility causing serious consequences" occurring at the Land Registration Office of Quang Tri Province - Dong Ha City Branch.
From the investigation results, the authorities determined that Dao Xuan Hung (an officer of the Quang Tri Provincial Land Registration Office - Dong Ha City Branch) was irresponsible in the process of checking, appraising documents, advising, and confirming conditions for granting land use right certificates, causing a loss of VND 5.3 billion to the State.
The case is currently being investigated and handled by the authorities in accordance with the law.
Previously, on September 2, 2023, the Investigation Police Agency of Cao Bang Provincial Police prosecuted and arrested Nong Van Thuan (born in 1985, residing in Hanh Phuc commune, Quang Hoa district), an officer of the Land Registration Office, Trung Khanh district branch, to investigate the act of forgery in work.
According to the police, Nong Van Thuan was arrested for his involvement in the forgery of signatures and land records that occurred at the one-stop department of the Office of the People's Council - People's Committee of Trung Khanh district.
According to the initial investigation, on November 9, 2021, after receiving the dossier to correct the name of land plot No. 48 transferred by the one-stop department of the Office of the People's Council - People's Committee of Trung Khanh district, Nong Van Thuan arbitrarily forged the signature of the land plot owner, Ms. LTI (born in 1969, residing in Quang Uyen town, Quang Hoa district, Cao Bang province) to complete the procedure to correct the name of the owner of this land plot in violation of the law.
At the police station, Thuan confessed all his crimes.
