In order for tea trees to be maintained and developed to bring economic efficiency to the people, Yen Thuan commune has coordinated with departments, organizations, and agricultural extension officers to organize training courses to transfer science and technology in planting and caring for tea trees to the people and has achieved encouraging results.
Currently, Yen Thuan has 5 Cooperatives. Of which, Thuan Thuy Green Tea Cooperative is one of 5 cooperatives eligible to receive support under the Project "Developing sustainable agricultural and forestry production, promoting the potential and strengths of regions and areas to produce goods according to the value chain". Yen Thuan green tea products of Thuan Thuy Cooperative have achieved 3-star OCOP. Thuan Thuy Cooperative currently has 7 members producing tea with an area of over 20 hectares, with members' income reaching about 100 million VND/ha.
In addition, the four-season lemon growing model is also a bright spot in the locality. The four-season lemon garden on the hill of Mr. Pham Van Quang, Son Thuy village is currently in full harvest. Mr. Quang shared that this year's off-season lemons were priced at 27,000 VND/kg at one point, and are currently selling for 18,000 VND/kg. If he continues to sell at this price, he will earn billions of dong this year on more than 2,000 four-season lemon trees. Currently, the entire area of four-season lemons of his family has been invested in an advanced irrigation system of up to 200 million VND, ensuring that the lemon trees have enough water to grow and produce beautiful, plump fruit.
