The Hill newspaper reported on October 23 that former US President Barack Obama and famous rapper Eminem recently appeared together at a campaign rally for Vice President Kamala Harris in Detroit, Michigan. During the event, Mr. Obama delighted voters by reading a rap verse from Eminem's Oscar-winning song "Lose Yourself." "I've attended a lot of campaign events, so I usually don't feel nervous or stressed. But I felt this when I had to appear after Eminem," Mr. Obama said to the cheers of the crowd. "Detroit, we have the opportunity to choose a new generation of leaders for America. Everyone's vote is very important, this will be a very close race. Luckily, Ms. Harris is ready for this position, she is someone who has always fought for communities that need a voice," Mr. Obama urged people in Detroit and Michigan to vote early. In recent times, Mr. Obama has continuously appeared in battleground states to attract more black male voters for Ms. Harris. On the other side of the battle line, former President Donald Trump said that Mr. Obama is "dividing the country" when campaigning on behalf of Ms. Harris. "I've watched the way Mr. Obama speaks in recent rallies. He seems exhausted and trying to divide the country," Mr. Trump commented.
