“Science and technology, innovation, digital transformation” - Important driving force for Thanh Hoa province to develop strongly in the era of rising up

The Provincial Party Committee organized a conference to update specialized knowledge: Science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation.

Since the beginning of the 2020 - 2025 term, the province has proactively strengthened leadership, direction, reviewed and completed regulations, and at the same time built mechanisms and policies to strongly promote science and technology, innovation and digital transformation; issued Resolution No. 06-NQ/TU of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on digital transformation of Thanh Hoa province to 2025, with a vision to 2030; Action Plan No. 27-KH/TU of the Provincial Party Executive Committee to implement Breakthroughs in research, application and transfer of science and technology, proactively and actively participating in the Fourth Industrial Revolution to serve rapid and sustainable socio-economic development, period 2021-2025; Decision No. 5519-QD/UBND of the Provincial People's Committee on approving the "Program to support the development of science and technology enterprises and innovative startup ecosystem in Thanh Hoa province, period 2021-2025.

The province focuses on increasing the arrangement of cadres with scientific and technical expertise to participate in Party committees at all levels, promulgating policies to attract talents, building special mechanisms in training cooperation, developing a team of scientists, meeting development requirements in the new situation; implementing many support policies, including preferential loans from the Science and Technology Development Fund, supporting organizations and individuals to participate in technology and equipment markets, forums connecting technology supply and demand; promoting scientific and technological cooperation activities with foreign countries.

Thanks to that, the awareness and responsibility of Party committees, authorities, cadres, Party members and people of all walks of life about the position and role of science and technology have been raised, science and technology have gradually become an important driving force in socio-economic development and economic restructuring of the province. From 2020 to 2023, the Provincial People's Committee approved a list of 179 science and technology tasks, many of which have been applied in practice after acceptance, bringing high economic efficiency. Many new technologies have been successfully researched and transferred, contributing to promoting the growth rate of the industrial sector and the industrialization and modernization process of Thanh Hoa such as: drying rice by infrared radiation; drying sedge by tunnel technology; producing enameled fine art ceramics by gas and coal burning technology; producing unburnt Terrazzo bricks; multi-purpose hydraulic pressing and digital printing in the production of high-end tiles; exploiting "wire-cut" stone; artificial sand production...

Many modern medical achievements have been researched and applied to serve the work of medical examination and treatment, contributing to making Thanh Hoa become a top province in the country in the medical field such as: application of SPECT, MRI, PET/CT techniques; application of Cyfra 21-1, CEA, SCC, ProGRP testing techniques in diagnosis and monitoring of lung cancer treatment; histopathological diagnosis by Hematoxyline Eosin staining, Giemsa staining; application of intravenous thrombolytic drugs to treat early cerebral infarction; application of endoscopic nephrectomy techniques; corneal transplantation, kidney transplantation techniques; successful research and production of many application software serving production and processing in the fields of high-tech agriculture, environmental resources, transportation, etc.

In particular, in the field of social sciences and humanities, the tasks of science and technology focus on research to provide scientific arguments to concretize the Party's innovation policy in the specific conditions of the province, accelerate the process of economic restructuring, plan the province's socio-economic development towards industrialization and modernization, and raise awareness of the homeland and people of Thanh Hoa.

Digital transformation is promoted, Thanh Hoa is one of the first localities to connect, share and exchange electronic documents between the government and businesses, ensuring publicity, transparency and efficiency in management. At the same time, innovative start-up activities are focused on, with the strong development of science and technology enterprises. Currently, the province has 31 science and technology enterprises, one of the leading localities in the country. The increasingly developing innovative start-up ecosystem promotes creativity and innovation in the business community, enhances competitiveness, creates many job opportunities, and promotes sustainable development.

Closely following the viewpoints, goals, tasks and solutions stated in Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo "On breakthroughs in the development of science and technology, national innovation and digital transformation", the Provincial Party Standing Committee issued an Action Program to implement Resolution 57-NQ/TW with the goal that by 2030 Thanh Hoa will be among the top 10 provinces and cities nationwide in the application and transfer of science and technology, digital transformation and digital transformation with potential in infrastructure, technological capacity, innovation of enterprises and in some sectors and fields reaching regional, national and international levels. Rapidly and steadily developing science and technology, digital transformation and digital transformation, truly becoming an important driving force, a breakthrough to promote rapid and sustainable socio-economic development; firmly ensuring national defense and security, contributing to building Thanh Hoa into an industrialized, modern province, with people having a higher standard of living than the national average. By 2045, science and technology, innovation and digital transformation will develop steadily, contributing to making Thanh Hoa a developed province with high income.

To truly take off, the province must successfully carry out the revolution of developing science and technology, innovation and digital transformation. With high determination, great efforts and drastic actions, science and technology, innovation and digital transformation will make strong progress, develop by leaps and bounds, becoming the main driving force to make Thanh Hoa province develop rapidly, become rich and strong, and become a new growth pole in the North of the country.
