Closing the year with many activities of the National Tourism Year

BTO-On the evening of December 27, 2023, Binh Thuan province solemnly held the Closing Ceremony of the 2023 National Tourism Year "Binh Thuan - Green Convergence" in Phan Thiet city.

National Tourism Year 2023 is a typical cultural, economic and tourism event of national and international scale, this is also the largest annual tourism event of Vietnam's tourism industry. The closing ceremony of National Tourism Year 2023 will conclude a year with many activities in Binh Thuan province, bringing the province's tourism industry back to the growth trajectory.

After 1 year of operation with many events and festivals taking place continuously in localities in the province and across provinces and cities across the country, the people and tourists have actively participated and responded, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere in the past year. In particular, there are many large-scale and unique activities, creating a great impression on people and tourists. In particular, the Opening Ceremony of the National Tourism Year 2023 "Binh Thuan - Green Convergence" held on March 25, 2023 in Phan Thiet city was honored to welcome comrade Vuong Dinh Hue - Politburo member, Chairman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; comrade Tran Luu Quang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister; leaders of ministries, central agencies, foreign diplomatic agencies, leaders of provinces and cities and nearly 30,000 people and tourists to attend the Opening Ceremony. The opening ceremony was assessed as very special, large-scale, and magnificent, creating a deep impression on delegates, people, and domestic and foreign tourists. After a series of activities of the National Tourism Year 2023 "Binh Thuan - Green Convergence", it has contributed to promoting the image and people of Binh Thuan to domestic and international tourists, restoring tourism activities in the new normal conditions, promoting the socio-economic development of the province. Through the organization of the National Tourism Year 2023, it also contributes to improving the quality of products, building new and attractive tourism products, suitable to the needs and tastes of tourists. Thereby, introducing and promoting the tangible and intangible cultural values, resources and unique tourism products of the people, the country of Vietnam in general and Binh Thuan province in particular. At the same time, creating a breakthrough development in tourism, contributing to the socio-economic development of Binh Thuan in the following years.

The closing ceremony of the National Tourism Year 2023 "Binh Thuan - Green Convergence" will take place on the evening of December 27, 2023, at the Ocean Dunes sea area in Phu Thuy ward, Phan Thiet city with a large-scale and unique art program. The art program has a lighting system connected to technology programmed to the rhythm of music, performances combined with video projection effects, laser light shows. At the same time, the program has a space set up on the sea, water screen performance art introducing the beautiful scenery, culture, people of Binh Thuan... In addition to the free grandstand area with 4,000 seats in the ceremony area, the Organizing Committee also equipped large LED screens at the belts so that people and tourists can enjoy the entire program in many different ways. In the series of activities to summarize and close the National Tourism Year 2023, there are also events associated with the year-end festival such as: The final round of the Television Singing Contest - Sea Star 2023 taking place on the evening of December 29 at Ocean Dunes Resort Phan Thiet; the Countdown program welcoming the New Year 2024 on the evening of December 31 also at Oceaa Dunes Resort Phan Thiet; the program Welcome the New Year 2024; the final round of the Binh Thuan Women's Charm Contest 2023 and a 15-minute low-altitude fireworks display to celebrate the New Year 2024...

At the end of the 2023 National Tourism Year "Binh Thuan - Green Convergence" hosted by Binh Thuan province, the 2024 National Tourism Year will be held in Dien Bien province. Previously, on November 13, 2023, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued a decision approving the Project to organize the 2024 National Tourism Year - Dien Bien. The 2024 National Tourism Year is a typical cultural, economic and social event of national and international scale, associated with the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024). With the scope of organizing the main activities and events concentrated in Dien Bien province, the responding programs and events will be organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and ministries, departments, branches and localities in Dien Bien province and related localities. Through the organization of the National Tourism Year - Dien Bien 2024, to promote the mobilization of investment resources for development, strengthen the socio-economic infrastructure, exploit the potential and advantages of the locality, develop the economy, ensure social security, reduce poverty quickly and sustainably, improve the material and spiritual life of the people. At the same time, preserve and promote the cultural identity of ethnic groups and the special national historical relic of Dien Bien Phu Battlefield, contributing to stimulating domestic and international tourism, creating a step to develop tourism into a spearhead economic sector and build Dien Bien province into one of the tourist centers of the Northern Midlands and Mountains region.
