This afternoon, June 15, in Vinh An village, Cam Hieu commune, Cam Lo district, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province coordinated with the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) to organize the inauguration ceremony and handover of the Community Cultural House to the locality. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam; Member of BIDV Board of Directors Dang Van Tuyen attended the ceremony.

The Vinh An village flood shelter community cultural house was sponsored by BIDV with a total cost of 2.5 billion VND, designed according to BIDV's uniform model, including 2 floors with a floor area of 500 m2 and a capacity of about 250 people. Under normal conditions, the building serves the activities of meetings, cultural exchanges, physical education, sports... of the people; when there are natural disasters such as storms and floods, the first floor will be a shelter for livestock, the second floor will be used as a safe place for the people.

Speaking at the ceremony, BIDV Board of Directors member Dang Van Tuyen shared that the Vinh An village flood shelter community cultural house is the 10th project out of 13 flood shelter houses sponsored by BIDV to be built in 6 central provinces that are regularly affected by natural disasters and floods from April 2022 to present. With gratitude and sharing the difficulties with the people in the heroic land of Quang Tri, BIDV sponsored the construction of 2 flood shelter community cultural houses in Cam Lo and Hai Lang districts.
At the same time, in coordination with strategic partner Hana Bank (Korea), we have funded a project in Trieu Phong district. Hopefully, the projects put into use will be a common home for local people to have a safe shelter during the storm and flood season, a place to meet, exchange, and participate in community cultural activities.

Thanking the sponsor, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam acknowledged BIDV's positive contributions to the socio-economic development and social security activities in Quang Tri province. The two community flood shelter projects sponsored by BIDV were highly appreciated by the local authorities and people for their outstanding advantages, aesthetics, and guaranteed quality and functionality.
In the coming time, we hope that BIDV will continue to accompany, share and support the province through financial and banking activities and meaningful social security programs. We request the People's Committee of Cam Lo district to direct relevant units and localities to organize the management, exploitation and use of the project in the most effective way.
