Reporting at the ceremony, Chairman of the Long Bien District People's Committee Nguyen Manh Ha stated that, in implementing Resolution No. 15-NQ/TƯ dated May 5, 2022, of the Politburo on the direction and tasks for the development of Hanoi Capital City until 2030, with a vision to 2045, building Hanoi into a "Cultural - Civilized - Modern" capital city with sustainable development; and in accordance with the programs and resolutions of the City Party Committee, the City People's Council, and the City People's Committee, Long Bien District has always been proactive in planning, steadfast in its goals and orientations for developing a civilized and modern urban area, while improving and enhancing the quality of life for its people.

In particular, the district pays special attention to allocating land and resources to build parks, green spaces, flower gardens, lakes, public works, etc., to serve the lives of the people, gradually making Long Bien one of the most livable districts in Hanoi .
In 2023, the district focused on investing in the construction of 3 new flower gardens; building and upgrading 2 central parks and lakes; renovating and repairing 15 flower gardens and green spaces; and regularly maintaining 39 flower gardens and median strips…
At the same time, the district has implemented many plans to improve the environment, preserve the landscape, and create green, clean, and beautiful spaces to serve the community's living needs in the area.
Long Bien Park, which is being officially inaugurated today, is one of 20 exemplary projects selected by Long Bien district for priority investment to celebrate major holidays of the capital and the country, and to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the district's establishment.
Long Bien Park has officially opened and is now open to the public.
The Long Bien Park investment, renovation, and upgrading project has been allocated 94 billion VND by the district, covering an area of 21.56 hectares.
Project items include: Construction, renovation, and repair of the lake embankment system, main road, branch roads, lakeside promenade, stage, rest pavilions, public restrooms, sports equipment, gates, fences, and technical infrastructure systems (electricity, water supply, drainage, lighting...).
After 10 months of construction, the project has been completed and put into operation, resolving the shortcomings and inadequacies in the management and operation of the project in the past; creating a green, clean, beautiful, and modern space, becoming a distinctive highlight in terms of landscape and architecture of the urban area associated with the administrative center of Long Bien district.
The project also promises to become a central location for organizing activities that promote economic development, trade, and traditional crafts; creating pedestrian spaces, entertainment areas, cultural and artistic venues, sports facilities, and community activities for the people in the district.
