Inauguration of 3 classrooms at Muong Piet school, Nghe An

On December 13, at the border commune of Thong Thu (Que Phong district, Nghe An province), the Hope Fund and sponsors held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to inaugurate 3 classrooms at Muong Piet school and Thong Thu 1 Primary School.

Construction of three classrooms at Muong Piet school began on October 3, each room is over 42 square meters, worth over 1.6 billion VND. Of which, the Hope Fund and sponsors supported 880 million, and the Que Phong District Counterpart Fund supported over 700 million.

Muong Piet School was built in 2003 with funding from Program 135. The school has 8 classrooms, of which three are seriously degraded, with walls and foundations cracked from top to bottom and unusable.

Muong Piet school is lower than the road, so in the rainy season, water overflows and causes flooding, these three classrooms can collapse at any time. Thanks to the donors, the newly built classrooms are sturdy, spacious and airy.

From 2018 to present, dozens of new schools under the "School Light" program implemented by the Hope Fund have been handed over and put into use in Ha Giang, Lao Cai, Son La, Dien Bien, Tuyen Quang, Lang Son, Quang Binh, Quang Nam, Binh Phuoc... contributing to improving learning conditions for tens of thousands of students and teachers, adding motivation for students to excel in their studies and life.
