At the age of 64, her carefree and carefree life makes many of her peers jealous. Some people also criticize her unrealistic lifestyle, only caring about herself. However, Ms. Truong is still satisfied with her current choices and maintains her own stance.

Life has many ups and downs

Mrs. Truong has two children, a boy and a girl. When she was young, she worked as a seamstress in a large garment factory in the district, earning just enough to support herself.

At the age of 30, she agreed to marry a colleague who was 12 years older than her. She thought that her married life would be perfect, but unexpectedly, it was the most haunting time of her life.

Not long after getting married, Mrs. Truong learned that she was pregnant. Her husband's family advised her to quit her job and take care of her children. Following her mother's wishes, she devoted herself to taking care of her family.

However, Mrs. Truong's years as a daughter-in-law were not peaceful.

After being scrutinized and oppressed by her mother-in-law, she was also blamed by her patriarchal husband for not knowing how to keep peace with everyone. Not only did he not understand, he also repeatedly yelled at and beat his wife.

Just like that, 10 long years of being a daughter-in-law passed. When she could no longer bear it, Mrs. Truong decided to separate and start a new life.

At the age of 40, Ms. Truong started selling vegetables at the wholesale market. Although the work was hard, the increasing number of customers made her more motivated.

After many years, Ms. Truong became a reputable "trader" and had extensive relationships with many partners. Thanks to that, her business grew day by day and her income became more stable.

Live carefree

When she earned money, Ms. Truong never once thought about spending it on herself. She spent most of it sending it home to raise her children and saving it.

After nearly 20 years of working, she was able to own a spacious, comfortable house and enough savings to last her the rest of her life.

When her children were grown, Ms. Truong decided to divorce her husband. She did not live with her children but still helped with the childcare.

At the age of 64, when her health showed signs of decline, Ms. Truong retired. She handed over the business to her eldest daughter and her husband, and continued to live alone.

Up to now, the old lady in her 70s still has no plans to divide her assets among her two children. She uses all her savings for retirement and travel .

Ms. Truong believes that, ''living independently at this age not only makes me feel comfortable, but is also a lesson for my children. That is, no matter who you are and what age you are, you must know how to stand on your own two feet''.

To this day, Mrs. Truong often thinks about her past youth. If she had depended on her husband all her life and had no personal assets, the years to come would have been meaningless. Although she does not have a pension now, she still lives comfortably and comfortably thanks to her savings in the bank.

In the years after retirement, the U70 woman spent all her time resting and traveling everywhere with friends. A year ago, Ms. Truong was diagnosed with gout and mild diabetes. Therefore, Ms. Truong's future goal is to be able to visit all the famous tourist attractions and scenic spots that she loves before her health deteriorates.
