(NLDO) - As a musician who maintains his form in composing, Pham Dang Khuong has made a beautiful impression with the collection of 50 Vietnamese historical songs "Hong Bang, motherland of Van Lang".

The lingering echo after the collection's launch at the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Cultural House was the overwhelming happiness when a large number of young audiences came to attend and cheer on the compositions of musician Pham Dang Khuong with the theme "Hong Bang, motherland of Van Lang".
The young people sang along, clapped their hands in response to the singer's performance, and listened to musician Pham Dang Khuong share about his composing journey, especially the circumstances in which each Vietnamese historical song was born.

This project includes 50 songs about Vietnamese history from the Hong Bang period to the Duy Tan movement (1872 - Phan Chau Trinh) performed by singers Nha Truc, Kim Duyen, Hanh Nguyen, Trong Thuong... Besides the heroic songs, the work "Co lau tap truong" is also composed on the gentle folk melody, with the lyrical sound of the North.
Musician Pham Dang Khuong said that when he is far away from Vietnam, he always remembers the days he walked on familiar roads such as Tran Hung Dao, Quang Trung, Le Loi, Tran Quoc Toan, Hai Ba Trung, Le Quy Don, Nguyen Du, Nguyen Khuyen, Bui Thi Xuan... Those names are only known as people who contributed to building and defending the country, but young people do not remember clearly which historical era they lived in.

Therefore, through 50 songs, he hopes to help students remember and understand the great contributions and achievements of national heroes who shed blood to preserve the sovereignty of the Fatherland.

Because, not only simply describing portraits, the 50 songs also tell stories and events in the lives of historical figures.

Musician Pham Dang Khuong graduated in 1998 from the Faculty of Theory - Composition - Conducting at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music. He became famous in the 1990s with songs such as: "The Unintentional Wind", "The Road to School", "Love Returns", "Dream Sky"...
Recently, the musician has released a collection of songs for children such as: "Twelve Zodiac Animals", "Pink with a Little Sunshine"...
At the 3rd Music Exchange program organized by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, he attended and shared with his colleagues his experience in composing songs on the theme, including many songs he wrote about Ho Chi Minh City and actively participated in the song composition campaign with the theme "The Country is Full of Joy".
