A solo photo exhibition titled "Sicily" by photographer Fulvio Bugani - Leica International Ambassador, was held on August 17 at Casa Italia, 18 Le Phung Hieu, Hanoi.
Fulvio Bugani, born in 1974, is an independent photographer from Bologna, Italy. His works and photographic projects mainly explore social, cultural aspects and the interaction between people and society.
What interests him most in terms of photography is the everyday lives of ordinary people, who, if analyzed closely, will always reveal extraordinary stories behind them.

He is actively involved with NGOs such as Doctors Without Borders and Amnesty International, where he has been involved in several projects on human rights, illegal immigration and asylum in Africa.
Fulvio Bugani has won awards: World Press Photo for his work Waria about the Muslim transgender community in Indonesia, Leica Oskar Barnack 2016 for his street report Soul y Sombra about Cuba, PoY - Picture of the Year 2017 for his photo Boxe in Havana from the Havana project, PoY - Picture of the Year - portrait 2019 for his report Guajiro about Cuban farmers.
His work has been shown and exhibited at events and galleries worldwide including: World Press Photo Exhibition, Leica Gallery Asia and Europe.
Soul Y Sombra's street documentary works have been exhibited solo at events and galleries in many countries around the world: Wetzlar in Germany (Leica Camera Headquarters), London, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, Beijing in China, Milan Street Photography Festival, Arezzo International Festival...
