Design and display
One highly appreciated point of the Galaxy Chromebook Go is that it is made in Vietnam. Running on the Chrome OS platform, the device provides up to 12 hours of battery life on a single charge even though it is only 15.9 mm thin. The keyboard has a spill-resistant design, a flexible 180-degree hinge, and many connection ports such as USB-C, USB 3.2 or memory card slots around the edges of the device for a convenient experience. The MIL-STD-810G military standard gives the product the ability to operate durably, which is very good for the mobility of users such as teachers or students.
The Chromebook model has a pretty eye-catching design.
The Galaxy Chromebook Go has a pretty eye-catching silver exterior, while the black interior looks modern and powerful. It weighs only 1.145 kg, making it easy to put in a backpack without feeling too heavy when constantly carrying it to school.
The large trackpad is accurate and responsive to use. Although the clicks on the trackpad are a bit stiff, people can easily move the cursor exactly where they want on the screen, which is very important. Typing feels natural thanks to the well-spaced keys, and unlocking the machine is done with a password.
Galaxy Chromebook Go for simple learning needs
Galaxy Chromebook Go features a 14-inch HD LED display with a matte anti-glare coating for better visibility in bright light. This gives users such as students peace of mind when they need to use the device in areas such as schoolyards.
Performance
The Galaxy Chromebook Go offers performance on par with other similarly priced laptops. The hardware power is adequate for the laptop's primary purpose in schools, such as browsing the web or typing documents on the go.
Good performance with rich application and software store
Thanks to the high-speed 4G LTE connection, users can use the Galaxy Chromebook Go anywhere because Chrome OS relies heavily on an internet connection to function at its best. Users can also stay connected seamlessly via Phone Hub, Wi-Fi Sync, and Nearby Share. In particular, the modern Wi-Fi 6 connection helps ensure users can access Wi-Fi networks with high speed and stable quality.
One of the best things about the Galaxy Chromebook Go is its battery life, which lasts up to 12 hours on a single charge. Recharging from 0 to 100% takes less than 2 hours. On the top bezel of the laptop is a 720p HD camera, which is decent for video calls, although it's hard to expect much in the way of selfie quality.
In terms of sound quality, the product only provides average quality due to the limitation of placing it on the bottom of the device, resulting in the sound not being as good as models with speakers placed on the top or sides of the device.
Ports available on the Galaxy Chromebook Go
The product is equipped with Chrome OS - an operating system that makes everything simple, easy to navigate and use. Instead of storing data on the device itself, most files and applications will be saved to a secure area online, so the machine does not need as much memory as a Windows PC or Mac, helping to keep the price much lower. But this also means that users need to be connected to the internet to be able to access some of their files, folders and applications.
Users can download applications and software for the product through the Google Play Store. In addition, the Google Workspace for Education package: Gmail, Classroom, Drive… is integrated with seamless access features with Samsung mobile devices and the Care Plus package.
General assessment
Galaxy Chromebook Go has a youthful and lightweight design to suit the educational environment. In particular, 4G LTE connectivity helps users browse the web anywhere. Good battery life, spacious touchpad and keyboard for comfortable typing are also highlights of this product.
