MTA Vietnam 2024, the international exhibition on precision engineering and manufacturing, officially opened on July 2 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC, District 7). The event will last until July 5, organized by Informa Markets Vietnam.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Quan - former Minister of Science and Technology, Chairman of Vietnam Automation Association - expressed his joy at continuing to accompany MTA Vietnam 2024.
According to Mr. Quan, this is the 20th year the Association has accompanied the exhibition and businesses, together developing advanced industry, towards the goal of national industrialization.
At the event, the chairman of the Vietnam Automation Association emphasized the importance of learning from international businesses and applying advanced technological solutions to the industrialization process in Vietnam.
"We need to learn from the experiences of international businesses that have succeeded in the market. In particular, automation today must be combined with smart technology and artificial intelligence - Al," Mr. Quan emphasized.
Meanwhile, Mr. Ben Wong - General Director of Informa Markets Vietnam (representative of the organizer) - said that over two decades, MTA Vietnam has grown from a modest trade event, witnessing significant changes in the manufacturing landscape in Vietnam.
According to the organizers, in addition to the exhibition activities, there will be trade connection programs to help businesses meet potential partners, expand their business networks, and grasp new technology trends in the mechanical engineering and manufacturing industries.
In particular, within the framework of the exhibition, there will be specialized seminars revolving around the topics of smart manufacturing towards carbon neutrality, 3D printing technology or ODM processing.
The exhibition will host the second "MTA Challenges" robot competition, with the participation of many contestants from 10 universities in Ho Chi Minh City, contributing to the development of high-quality human resources and nurturing the future generation of automation engineers.
