Implementing the activities of Project 8 "Implementing gender equality and solving urgent issues for women and children", the Provincial Women's Union (VWU) has just coordinated with the Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital to organize medical examinations, consultations, and free medicine distribution for women and children in ethnic minority areas in Thanh Son, Yen Lap, and Tan Son districts.

At the program, more than 120 women's union members and 180 children from ethnic minorities in difficult circumstances from 3 communes: Kha Cuu (Thanh Son district), Dong Lac (Yen Lap district) and Dong Son (Tan Son district) were examined and consulted by officers, doctors and nurses of the Provincial Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital on some common diseases in internal medicine, surgery, respiratory medicine, blood pressure, general abdominal ultrasound...; were given nutritional advice and advice on preventing some common diseases in children in winter. At the same time, free medicine was provided with a total program value of over 100 million VND.

This is a meaningful activity implemented by the Provincial Women's Union at all levels to take care of the health of women and children in difficult circumstances in ethnic minority and mountainous areas in the province, contributing to the good implementation of social security policies, creating conditions for ethnic minorities to receive health care, examination, consultation and timely disease detection, encouraging people to unite, bond, actively compete in production, develop the economy, take care of the health of family members, and build happy families.
The highland market attracted many people and women's association members to visit and experience.
Also in the series of Project 8 activities, the Provincial Women's Union organized the 2024 Highland Market - Introducing, connecting, and consuming products for ethnic minority women in Thanh Son district. The market includes 10 booths from the Women's Unions of Kha Cuu, Dong Cuu, Thuong Cuu and Van Mieu communes with OCOP products, items, and typical products of the localities.
