In her opening speech, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports Nguyen Thu Phuong emphasized: “The fourth Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day in 2025 brings three messages: “Reading culture - Connecting the community”, “Entering the era of national growth with books”, “Reading books - enriching knowledge, nurturing aspirations, promoting innovation and creativity”.

This year, we are very pleased to have many publishers and book distributors actively participating, bringing a new vitality to spreading reading culture and encouraging reading habits. The series of activities and events to celebrate the fourth Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day in 2025 held today and in the coming days in Da Nang city, as well as districts and towns in the city, will practically contribute to promoting the beauty of traditional culture, encouraging and developing the reading movement in the community."

This year's Da Nang Reading Culture Festival takes place from April 20 to 27 with the main activities: Exhibition of information resources, photo documents about Da Nang 50 years of formation and development and 95 years of founding the Da Nang City Party Committee (March 28, 1930 - March 28, 2025); exhibition of information resources commemorating the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025); book exhibition "Central - Central Highlands with the Great Spring Victory of 1975"; calligraphy art exhibition; exhibition of technological achievements in the library field; at the same time displaying and introducing rare resources such as: Tieng Dan newspaper, Han Nom documents, ancient royal decrees, STEM Robotic experience space, STEM fun science...

In addition, the festival also has activities to develop reading culture such as: Organizing talk shows, seminars, introducing authors and works; exchanging with book collectors in Da Nang city; organizing book promotion and storytelling competitions; artistic book arranging competitions; costume contests for characters in books and stories; organizing physical games and fun games related to books; launching a movement to support books in school libraries, community learning centers in communes and wards; consulting on library facilities and issuing free library cards; organizing Bui Giangs poetry night programs, Trinh Cong Son's music; cultural - artistic exchanges and learning about reading culture...
