Opening of the Workshop on Defining Ninh Binh Identity in Association with Local Branding

The workshop aims to evaluate, define and identify the unique identity values of Ninh Binh province. From there, it will serve as a basis for selecting and standardizing products, goods, services and brands with unique and distinct local values that have regional, national and international influence.

At the same time, the workshop aims to consult experts, scientists , managers, and partners to build local brands, enhance the position and overall value of the land, culture - history, and people of Ninh Binh; thereby, research and propose specific solutions and policy mechanisms, contributing to the implementation of the goal of rapid and sustainable development of Ninh Binh province in the new context.

Attending and chairing the workshop were comrades: Associate Professor, Dr. Doan Minh Huan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Dr. Phan Chi Hieu, President of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, Co-Head of the Workshop Organizing Committee.

Speaking at the workshop, Dr. Phan Chi Hieu, President of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, Co-Chair of the Workshop Organizing Committee, stated: The scientific workshop "Defining Ninh Binh identity associated with local brand building" will take place in 1 day with 3 thematic sessions: Session 1 general report and thematic report; Session 2 supplementary report; Session 3 reporting on specialized aspects and exchanges, roundtable discussions between local leaders - experts, scientists - businesses... on related issues to realize the development aspirations of Ninh Binh, in order to build a new brand strategy for Ninh Binh province, which is to become a livable, worth doing business and secure investment city.

The President of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences affirmed: The workshop received nearly 50 presentations from experts, scientists, managers, lecturers at the central and local levels, international scholars, businesses, and provincial leaders with quality, depth, and many perspectives, different aspects of multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research approaches on local identity and brand formats, in order to identify, evaluate comprehensively, in-depth, objectively, scientifically and clearly define the identity values of Ninh Binh province in building local brands in the past, present and positioning the future.

In order for the Workshop to achieve the desired results, the President of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences respectfully requests experts and scientists to exchange and give in-depth opinions on key issues including: scientific and practical arguments to identify and specifically define the unique, outstanding and advantageous identity values of Ninh Binh; exchange and discuss the construction and promotion of brands based on the identity values of cultural and natural heritage of Ninh Binh province after 30 years of re-establishment; How to create a sustainable source of capital for the conservation of heritage identity values; raise suggestive issues for Ninh Binh to solve the problem of harmonizing the story of conservation and development; give opinions and discuss special priority mechanisms and regulations for world cultural and natural heritage, as well as special national heritage.

The development of Ninh Binh in the present and future is taking place in the context of rapid changes in the international and regional context, with many factors of the times and if we can take advantage of them, our country, including Ninh Binh province, will have the conditions to develop rapidly in the coming time. Therefore, the conference hopes that delegates will assess the international context, the domestic situation, the development situation in the Northern key economic region affecting Ninh Binh, both the challenges and golden opportunities for the socio-economic development of the province.

With the goals and development orientation in the future, Ninh Binh province needs to position a new vision, new development position, new image for the upcoming transformation period to accelerate investment attraction, create resources for development, delegates give specific suggestions on the contents of the mechanism, specific to Ninh Binh province.

Based on scientific presentations and comments from experts, scientists, and managers, the Organizing Committee will filter comments at the Scientific Workshop to have a report recommending policies on building specific and outstanding mechanisms and policies for the development of Ninh Binh province; at the same time, filter to build the Directive of the Standing Committee of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee on "Building the local brand of Ninh Binh province".
