Cambodia is committed to working closely with ASEAN member countries as well as dialogue partners to build a sustainable, inclusive and competitive ASEAN Economic Community for the collective benefit of the entire region.
“Cambodia has developed into a modern economy and integrated into the global economy. The Cambodian economy has also shown remarkable resilience. Before the Covid-19 pandemic, Cambodia maintained an average economic growth rate of more than 7% per year for two decades. Despite recent setbacks, the Cambodian economy is recovering with a growth rate of 5.6% in 2023 and is expected to reach 6.6% in 2024,” Prime Minister Hun Manet emphasized.
At the Cambodia-ASEAN Business Summit 2024, delegates from the host country and international organizations spent a lot of time discussing and making proposals to promote connectivity and integration within ASEAN, towards the goal of equitable and comprehensive growth.
