Opening of the 2023 Hanoi Agricultural Trade Promotion Fair and OCOP Products

(HNMO) - On the evening of June 8, at AEON MALL Ha Dong Trade Center (Duong Noi Ward, Ha Dong District, Hanoi), the Hanoi Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion in coordination with AEON MALL Vietnam Co., Ltd. organized the "Hanoi 2023 Agricultural Trade Promotion Fair, OCOP Products".

The fair has a scale of about 70 booths of 60 organizations, businesses, and OCOP entities from 20 provinces and cities: Hanoi, Lam Dong, Dien Bien, Nghe An, Cao Bang...

Organizations and businesses participating in the fair displayed more than 1,000 agricultural products, OCOP products certified from 3 to 5 stars; handicraft products, typical traditional craft villages, with export potential, such as: Cordyceps, various types of tea, dairy products, bird's nest, vermicelli, noodles, coffee, spices, dried foods, veal ham, agarwood, honey... Products participating in the fair must ensure quality, clear origin, with full packaging and labels.

Organizations and businesses participating in the fair displayed more than 1,000 products.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Anh Duong - Director of the Center for Promotion, Investment, Trade and Tourism of Hanoi city said that after 4 years of organization with 7 fairs, over 500 businesses of Hanoi and other provinces and cities have had the opportunity to promote their brands, connect with each other, cooperate in business, access and expand export potential through the modern distribution system of AEON Vietnam and globally.

At the fair, the Hanoi Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion will coordinate with the purchasing department of AEON Vietnam to survey and select potential units, businesses and OCOP entities to connect for trade and exchange cooperation opportunities to become suppliers of the AEON system in the future.

Enterprises are provided with information on bidding instructions and regulations on product quality standards for suppliers so that units and enterprises can proactively research, improve production and business capacity, and move towards becoming suppliers for the AEON system.

During the fair, many sideline activities were also organized to attract visitors such as: Demonstrations, combining product trial experiences at booths and organizing performances at the stage area; organizing practical activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Vietnam - Japan diplomatic relations such as demonstrations of traditional crafts of Hanoi and other provinces and cities, demonstrations of OCOP product processing, cultural exchanges, and Vietnam - Japan arts and literature...

The event was held to continue implementing the Memorandum of Cooperation signed between the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Hanoi People's Committee and AEON Group Japan, aiming to achieve the export turnover of Vietnamese goods through AEON's system of 1 billion USD by 2025 and implement the Hanoi City Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Program in 2023; towards the 50th anniversary of Vietnam - Japan diplomatic relations.

The fair runs until June 11.

The fair is held 3 times at AEON MALL shopping centers in Hanoi.

Part 1: At AEON MALL Ha Dong Shopping Center, Duong Noi Ward, Ha Dong District, from June 8 to 11.

Part 2: At AEON MALL Long Bien, 27 Co Linh Street, Long Bien Ward, Long Bien District, from June 22 to 25.

Part 3: At AEON MALL Ha Dong, from September 14 to 17.
