Opening of the Youth Creativity Festival and Science and Technology Exhibition for Danang Students in 2024

Youth Creativity Festival and Science and Technology Exhibition for students of Danang University in 2024 with the theme "Digital Transformation - Innovative Startup Space". The program is part of the 6th Youth Creativity Festival event series, one of the series of activities to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment and development of Danang University (1994-2024).

This is a festival for Da Nang students to interact with businesses in the fields of science and technology, innovative startups, exchange with prestigious speakers, and introduce and display scientific research products of Da Nang students.

In the 2024-2025 school year, students of Danang University achieved many encouraging achievements such as: winning 4 prizes in the 24th EURÉKA Student Scientific Research Competition; winning 12/15 prizes in the Danang City Student Scientific Research Competition, winning the first prize in the 5th SV-Startup Competition organized by the Ministry of Education and Training, 02 female students won the "Vietnam Female Science and Technology Student Award 2022", the Champion of the Cesim Elite Vietnam Business Simulation Competition-2023;

Won the second prize at the 8th National Student Science Competition "Econometrics and Applications Olympiad" in 2023, won 3 second prizes, 4 third prizes and 1 consolation prize at the 29th National Mathematics Olympiad; won the first prize at the UNESCO Creative Ideas for a Plastic-Free Ocean Competition; won 1 second prize, 1 third prize and 3 fourth prizes at the 11th National Student Chemistry Olympiad in 2023, won 12 prizes in different categories at the Vietnam Student Informatics Olympiad and the International Student Programming Competition...

“The 6th Student Science and Technology Festival, gathering more than 60 products and projects participating in the exhibition, are scientific research products and innovative startups of Da Nang students.

These are ideas, suggestions, and feasible solutions to develop Danang University sustainably and promote contributions to local and national socio-economic development in the context of a period with a series of unprecedented difficulties and challenges," said Associate Professor, Dr. Le Quang Son, Vice President of Danang University.

As one of the three key national universities, Danang University is well aware of its role in contributing to the development of the region and the country, focusing on the fields of high technology, startups, and innovation. In particular, digital transformation and the opportunity to rise from continuous innovation are the "keys" to developing a knowledge-based economy and green transformation.

Innovative, core breakthrough technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), big data, blockchain technology, semiconductor chips, etc. are creating fundamental, profound changes on a large scale, erasing geographical distances, and eliminating the advantages of traditional production methods and business models.

Every year, Danang University has trained more than 10 thousand engineers/bachelors with majors related to key fields through training programs that meet national and international standards.

In parallel with training, Danang University has implemented scientific research cooperation programs with localities and domestic and foreign technology enterprises in the fields of high technology and startups.

At the program, Danang University awarded 11 Student Scientific Research Awards for the 2023-2024 school year, including 2 First prizes, 3 Second prizes, 3 Third prizes and 3 Encouragement prizes with a total prize of 124 million VND.
