The 16th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Hoa Binh province is of great significance, with the task of summarizing and evaluating comprehensively and objectively the work of the Front in the past term and seriously reviewing and pointing out shortcomings and limitations in order to draw lessons; on that basis, build goals, tasks and action programs in the coming term; at the same time, review the activities of the Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee for the 2019-2024 term.
On the basis of promoting democracy and collective intelligence, the Congress will continue to contribute opinions to the Draft Documents submitted to the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and participate in contributing opinions to amend the Charter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 9th tenure. Consult to elect the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, 16th tenure, and send a delegation representing all classes of people in the province to attend the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
The Congress consulted, elected the Presidium and Secretariat, approved the Congress program with working rules and regulations, and was approved by all attending delegates.
In the opening session of the Congress held on the afternoon of July 31, notable information about the activities of the Hoa Binh Provincial Front was presented.
Accordingly, at the Congress, the outstanding activities and achievements of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Hoa Binh province for the 2019-2024 term were reported. Accordingly, 10 typical activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Hoa Binh province were impressively demonstrated by specific statistics:
1. Implement activities such as: repairing and upgrading cultural houses, building stages, hardening inter-village roads, building flower roads, building new and repairing Great Unity houses, giving gifts to policy families, meritorious people, the poor... worth over 21.4 billion VND; Rewarding 13,475 outstanding collectives, families and individuals. Paying attention to and implementing well ethnic and religious work; visiting and giving gifts to prestigious people among ethnic minorities with an amount of over 1.3 billion VND,...
2. Represent and protect the legitimate rights and interests of the people; coordinate the organization of over 3,300 dialogue meetings of Party leaders; chair and organize 2,760 supervision meetings; 916 social criticism conferences; 1,341 supervision meetings of the People's Inspectorate, 2,096 supervision meetings of the Community Investment Supervision Board.
3. Successfully coordinated the organization of the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term; mobilized voters to participate in the election, reaching 99.04%; elected 6 deputies to the 15th National Assembly, 58 deputies to the provincial People's Council, 333 deputies to the district People's Council and 3,305 deputies to the commune People's Council. Election Day, May 23, is truly a national festival.
4. Innovate the content and improve the quality of the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas"; take the lead in organizing the assessment of people's satisfaction with the results of new rural construction; coordinate propaganda and mobilize people to donate over 564,000 m2 of land, participate in over 1.1 million working days; contribute and support money, construction materials, ornamental plants... with a value of over 125.5 billion VND.
5. Promote propaganda and mobilize support for the "For the Poor" fund, mobilize maximum resources to care for the poor and poor communities. The result was over 99.6 billion VND mobilized; supported the construction of 1,867 new Great Solidarity houses and repaired 415 houses with an amount of over 64.4 billion VND; presented over 28,600 Tet gifts to poor households worth nearly 17.4 billion VND; supported livelihoods with an amount of over 14.9 billion VND.
6. Received nearly 45 billion VND in cash, along with hundreds of thousands of Covid-19 rapid test kits, medical masks, antiseptic solutions, splash shields, ambulances, tablets... with a value of over 37.7 billion VND; mobilized to support over 500 tons of goods and necessities to support the people of the South and the capital Hanoi to fight the Covid-19 epidemic.
7. Coordinate the removal of all 268 temporary and dilapidated houses for families of meritorious people and former youth volunteers in the province with a total value of 11.4 billion VND. Coordinate the organization of meetings, visits, and gift giving to Dien Bien soldiers, youth volunteers, frontline laborers (directly participating in the Dien Bien Phu campaign) and families of martyrs on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory.
8. Effectively implement the movement to eliminate temporary houses in the province. Coordinated with the Provincial Police and Mai Chau District to build 200 new Great Unity houses, and eliminated all dilapidated houses for poor households in Hang Kia and Pa Co communes of Mai Chau District, with a total budget of 8 billion VND from the support of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Ministry of Public Security. Advised the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee to successfully organize the launching ceremony of "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses". At the launching ceremony, Hoa Binh Province received over 50 billion VND from the Government, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Hanoi City and enterprises to eliminate 1,000 temporary houses.
9. The provincial Fatherland Front has mobilized funding sources and directly invested in social security projects in the area, received 25.5 billion VND in donations, invested in the construction of 1 bridge, 3 schools, 1 boarding house, 11 toilets, auxiliary works and thousands of bicycles for poor students.
10. Organized 329 training courses for over 24,600 Front officials at all levels and members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at provincial, district and communal levels; coordinated the organization of 8,300 conferences to disseminate and educate the law for 595,000 people. Organized to commend 100 exemplary Front officials for the period 2029 - 2024. Published 132,000 copies of the Front Work newsletter; The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province was honored to receive the Second Class Labor Medal (2nd time); Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister in the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic and Certificate of Merit for excellence in the period 2019-2024. In addition, 7,720 collectives and individuals received various forms of commendation and recognition from the Central and local governments.
