This afternoon, June 20, in Vinh Linh district, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Tri coordinated with the People's Committee of Vinh Linh district, the Department of Education and Training and the Provincial Youth Union to organize the opening ceremony of the 16th Quang Tri Provincial Fine Arts Award Competition - 2024, celebrating the 70th anniversary of Vinh Linh tradition.

The 16th Quang Tri Provincial Fine Arts Award Competition took place on June 20-21, 2024 at the Vinh Moc Tunnels National Special Monument and Vinh Linh Tunnel Village System, with the participation of 70 contestants aged 4 to 15, living and studying at kindergartens, primary schools, and secondary schools in the province, who won B prize or higher at the painting competition at the district, town, and city levels in 2024.

The painting contest focuses on the following topics: Commemorating and paying tribute to heroic martyrs, commemorating war victims, and the painful losses caused by war; honoring the value of peace, calling on everyone to join hands in the struggle, preservation, and building a peaceful, prosperous, and sustainable life for the homeland; demonstrating the heroic history of the struggle of the army and people of Quang Tri, Vinh Linh special zone, and the border area during the years of fighting for independence, freedom, and national reunification; introducing the heroic land of Vinh Linh steel ramparts in peace, innovation, and development; expressing the feelings of Quang Tri children and teenagers towards beloved Uncle Ho, heroic Vietnamese mothers, wounded soldiers, and former youth volunteers...

Tomorrow afternoon, June 21, the Organizing Committee will hold a ceremony to summarize and award the 16th Quang Tri Provincial Fine Arts Awards to 4 groups and 70 individuals (12 A prizes, 15 B prizes, 15 C prizes, 28 consolation prizes) with excellent entries. The works of contestants participating in the painting competition directly at the Vinh Moc National Special Monument and Vinh Linh Tunnel Village System will be displayed at the Documentary and Image Exhibition with the theme: "Proud of 70 years of Vinh Linh tradition" in August 2024.
