Looking at the top 10, it can be seen that the travel trend of Vietnamese people at the beginning of the year still leans towards familiar destinations, traveling close to 9/10 destinations located in Asia. In addition to familiar Southeast Asian destinations such as Thailand, Singapore or Malaysia, Vietnamese tourists also love destinations located in Northeast Asia such as Japan, Korea and China.
The list of destinations announced by Booking is based on the most searches by Vietnamese guests on the same check-in date from December 22 to January 2, 2024.
Booking also announced the list of the top 5 nationalities visiting Vietnam during the New Year, with Australia taking the top spot. The remaining 4 names include Russian, Korean, German and Japanese visitors. The 5 domestic destinations searched and booked the most by international visitors are Ho Chi Minh City, Phu Quoc, Hanoi, Da Nang, Nha Trang.
This ranking is based on the number of room bookings in Vietnam from January 12 to February 29, 2024 by visitors from 33 countries and territories.
