Realizing the potential and advantages of the locality, Mr. Nguyen Van Tien (Binh Lap village, Cam Lap commune, Cam Ranh city, Khanh Hoa province) boldly discussed with his family the idea of ​​planting trees and making local dishes to serve tourists from near and far. Mr. Tien said that he used to raise lobsters at sea. During his time working at sea, he discovered that his hometown had many ideal scenes such as: natural rocks combined with mountains and forests, beautiful blue sea and white sand. Besides, it was close to a fishing village where people went fishing for rich seafood. Since then, in 2015, he invested in a community tourism model.

Mr. Tien said that this land is wonderful, converging many factors for development, while in the past, people came here without any place to experience and stay to enjoy the scenery, so it was a waste.

At first, Mr. Tien opened in a rustic style, but unexpectedly, customers came in droves. In the early days, on holidays, there were about 300 - 400 customers/day, this was a great joy and gave him more motivation to continue implementing his idea.

To provide more convenience and privacy for guests to experience, Mr. Tien invested capital to build Homestay houses for guests to stay overnight. Currently, he has 7 houses, with areas ranging from 13 - 45m2, invested in amenities such as: Hot and cold water, basic appliances, some related machines,...

His area not only attracts tourists from Ninh Thuan, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong, Dong Nai, Ho Chi Minh City but also attracts foreign tourists from Europe, Asia,... From the beginning of 2024 until now, the number of visitors coming here to visit is very large, an average of about 5,000 - 6,000 visitors coming here to experience.

When visitors come here, they can enjoy dishes made from fresh lobster, oysters, and squid, see with their own eyes fishermen catching lobsters, raising lobsters, processing lobsters, fishing for squid, fishing at night, the life of fishermen in coastal areas, exchange with local culture, and admire the beautiful natural scenery here.

Mr. Tien said that the needs of tourists for sightseeing and experience are very diverse and rich. Many tourists like to climb mountains, visit the above relics, visit and experience sheep fields, rice fields, and vegetable fields of local farmers.

The strangely shaped natural rocks by the blue sea of ​​Cam Lap commune, Cam Ranh city, Khanh Hoa province delight many domestic and foreign tourists.

To have the foundation he has today, Mr. Tien has gone through many difficulties from investment capital to approaching the construction of a tourism model.

Through the introduction and guidance of the Farmers' Association of Cam Lap Commune and the Farmers' Association of Cam Ranh City (Khanh Hoa Province), Mr. Tien has accessed bank capital to invest in production and model making. From a poor household, Mr. Tien has risen to become a good farmer and businessman.

The representative of the Cam Ranh City Farmers' Association said that in recent years, the unit has regularly guided and mobilized farmer members to participate in effective models, especially models of ecological agricultural tourism, community tourism, and rural tourism associated with local OCOP specialties. Thanks to that, it has attracted many members and farmers to participate in the model and increased income for rural workers. Currently, Mr. Tien's community tourism model is being considered for OCOP product evaluation.
