Dustin Cheverier took a trip to explore Mai Chau by bicycle. On the way, he stopped at a roadside restaurant to eat bun cha. After eating, Dustin continued on his journey.

After a few kilometers, the foreign customer suddenly remembered that he had not paid yet. He hurriedly cycled back to the shop. When the Western customer appeared, everyone at the shop thought he had forgotten something, the shop owner was confused and did not understand what had happened.

“Sorry! Sorry! I haven't paid yet,” Dustin said in Vietnamese to the owner.

The owner laughed and kept saying, “It’s okay, it’s okay.” “If you forget, you can come back this afternoon or tomorrow to pay, it will save you the trouble of going back and forth,” the owner told the customer.

The customer kept apologizing to the owner. Dustin was still panting as he spoke, showing that he had tried to pedal as fast as he could to get back.

“It was very hot at that time, so when the customer returned, I saw him sweating and panting, and I felt sorry for him. I have seen many customers forget to pay, so I think it is normal. Each meal is not worth much, people will remember and come back. For example, the customer's bun cha dish cost 30,000 VND,” the restaurant owner shared.

According to her, the restaurant has been open for more than 5 years, with the main dish being Nam Dinh pho. Other dishes include bun cha, pork offal, red wine sauce, rice, etc. She sells from morning until 9pm every day.

“Over the past two days, many people have come to the shop to ask about the incident. Everyone compliments me for being friendly and cheerful. Actually, I think it is a small matter, the important thing is that the Western customer is honest and lovely,” she said.
