Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online on May 22, a leader of Dong Khe Ward People's Committee said that at noon that day, there were 4 cases of bee stings in the area that had to be hospitalized for emergency treatment.

Hotel destroys beehive, causing passersby, including old lady, baby... to 'suffer'

According to initial information, at noon on May 22, The Shine Hotel on Le Hong Phong Street, Dong Khe Ward, organized a beehive demolition in a corner of the ceiling outside the hotel. The process of destroying the beehive caused thousands of bees to fly around and sting passersby below.

After the incident, the nearby MedCare Hai Phong clinic provided first aid to 4 cases of bee stings before transferring them to the hospital for monitoring.

According to The MedCare Hai Phong clinic, this unit received a girl about 12-13 years old and her mother, each of whom was stung by nearly 100 bees all over the head, face, inside the ears and body.

An 80-year-old woman was also stung by bees, with more than 20 stings concentrated on her head and face. In addition, a 1-year-old boy was covered by his shirt in time by locals, so his condition was the mildest with only a few stings, including one near his eye.

To provide first aid to those stung by bees, the clinic gave the patients painkillers, placed an IV, removed the bee from inside the girl's ear, removed all the venom from her body, and disinfected the wound.

The patients' vital signs were also closely monitored, ready to handle anaphylactic shock. Afterwards, the patients were transferred to the hospital for further monitoring and treatment. According to records, there were no abnormalities in the patients' health on the way to the hospital.
