(NLDO) - The group of students beat a 6th grade female student until her nose and ears bled, but because they were not old enough to be prosecuted criminally or administratively, they were only warned.
On December 18, the People's Committee of Kon Tum City, Kon Tum Province, said that the city's police had reported on the incident in which a group of students came to the house of a 6th grade female student at Nguyen Sinh Sac Secondary School to beat her.
This is the case of "6th grade female student was beaten by a group of friends at home" that the Lao Dong Newspaper reported on December 5.
According to the verification results of Kon Tum City Police, on the afternoon of November 28, T. (6th grade student, Nguyen Sinh Sac Secondary School) was at home in Quang Trung Ward, Kon Tum City, when 5 students came to find him (4 female, 1 male; all 6th and 7th grade students).
A group of friends came to the house to beat a 6th grade female student in Kon Tum.
Here, female student T. and her group of friends had a conflict about borrowing money earlier; female student T. was the class leader but often frowned at her friends. After that, 4 female students took turns beating T. During this process, the male student used his phone to film.
After beating them, the group left. T. suffered a nosebleed, bleeding from her left ear, and an injury to her thigh.
According to Kon Tum City Police, during the investigation, the offending students apologized to the victim and promised not to repeat the offense.
At the time of the incident, the offending students were not old enough to be held administratively or criminally responsible. The police educated and reminded them and handed over the case to relevant units for handling according to regulations.
Female student beaten many times
Ms. D.TH (mother of student T.) said that in addition to the above incident, her daughter was assaulted by the same group of classmates 6 other times in many other places. When working with the authorities, she also reported the times her daughter was beaten, but the report did not mention it.
"I am very worried, my daughter has been beaten many times, if the case is not handled seriously, my daughter will continue to be beaten, seriously affecting her psychology and health" - Ms. H. said.
