German striker Harry Kane set several new milestones after scoring a hat-trick in Bayern's 4-0 victory over rivals Dortmund in the 10th round of the Bundesliga.
With three goals in the 9th, 72nd, and 90+3rd minutes at Signal Iduna Park, the 30-year-old striker became the first player to score a hat-trick in his debut appearance in the German football classic - Der Klasiker.
Kane's goalscoring tally also rose to 15, helping the English star break Klaus Matischak's record of 13 goals in 10 matches with Schalke in the 1963-1964 season in Germany's top league. In addition to his 15 goals, Kane also provided five assists. He therefore also set a record for the most goal contributions in the first 10 Bundesliga matches.

Yesterday was also Kane's third hat-trick in his first 10 Bundesliga games. He had previously done the same in the 7-0 win against Bochum on September 23rd and the 8-0 win against Darmstadt last week. After scoring a hat-trick, Kane always takes a match ball home as a souvenir. "Your hotel room is getting more and more cramped, isn't it?" teammate Thomas Muller jokingly asked Kane after the Der Klasiker match.
Last summer, Kane joined Bayern for a record fee of $110 million. Prior to that, he also set a record of 280 goals for his former club Tottenham and 61 goals for the England national team.
Bayern currently sit second in the Bundesliga with 26 points, from eight wins and two draws. Leverkusen lead with 28 points. On September 15th, Bayern drew 2-2 in their direct encounter with Leverkusen at their home stadium, Allianz Arena. Aside from this match, Leverkusen have won their other nine games. Xabi Alonso's team also secured convincing victories, including wins against Moenchengladbach (3-0), Darmstadt (5-1), Heidenheim (4-1), Mainz (3-0), and Cologne (3-0).
