Sources said there were 35 passengers on the bus at the time of the accident.
The victims' bodies have been removed from the scene and police have opened an investigation into the cause of the accident.
Earlier, a bus carrying dozens of members of a music troupe skidded off a highway and fell into a gorge in western India on April 15.
The bus crash killed 13 people and injured 29 others.
Deadly road accidents are common in India due to reckless driving, poorly maintained roads and old vehicles. According to police, more than 110,000 people die each year in traffic accidents across India.
