(CLO) Israeli forces killed at least 44 people in Gaza and 31 in Lebanon on Saturday, including six Lebanese rescue workers and two Palestinian journalists, officials said.
Lebanon’s Health Ministry said at least seven people were killed in the coastal city of Tyre late Friday. The ministry said two children were among the dead. Airstrikes in nearby towns on Saturday killed 13 people, including seven health workers.

At least 20 people were also killed in Israeli air strikes on Saturday across the eastern plains around the historic city of Baalbek.
Israeli strikes have killed at least 3,136 people and wounded 13,979 in Lebanon over the past year, the Lebanese Health Ministry said. The dead included 619 women and 194 children.
Philippa Greer, head of legal affairs at the United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA), posted video from northern Gaza City showing the scale of devastation caused by Israel's war on the enclave.
The video, filmed from a moving vehicle and posted on X, shows destroyed roads and buildings flattened and reduced to rubble.
Greer described scenes of Palestinians struggling to carry their belongings in the sun, including "a man holding a white flag in front of his family" and "women about to collapse, dragging bags on the ground, walking backwards, stopping and closing their eyes".
Greer also said she saw "a man lying on the ground in his underwear, with soldiers near the checkpoint" and "a woman probably walking past with him, distressed, desperate".
Many buildings have now been completely flattened, with Hezbollah's yellow flags protruding from the rubble, according to Reuters reporters taken on a tour of Beirut's southern suburbs by Hezbollah.
Some buildings were partially damaged by the airstrikes, causing floors to collapse and furniture and other personal belongings to fall onto parked cars below. “We are trying to collect as much (possessions) as we can to survive, nothing more,” said resident Hassan Hannawi.
In another development in Israel's wars in the Middle East, Qatar has informed the Hamas militant group and Israel that it will postpone its efforts to broker a ceasefire in Gaza.
Qatar's Foreign Ministry said on Saturday that it wanted both sides to show "will and seriousness" in resuming negotiations.
The Gulf state has been working with the United States and Egypt to conduct peace talks for Gaza, but to no avail. Any withdrawal from the process could complicate efforts to reach a deal.
