According to PhoneArena , the latest research data from Canalys shows that the basic iPhone 14 is still the best-selling smartphone globally, marking the second consecutive quarter that this Apple product has reached the top position. More impressively, the three members of the iPhone 14 series themselves occupy the Top 3, along with the iPhone 14 Pro Max and 14 Pro.
The iPhone 14 continues to be on the best-seller list
In fourth place is the base iPhone 13, which is the predecessor to the iPhone 14. In fact, the 6.1-inch iPhone 13 led the global smartphone sales chart for three consecutive quarters, including Q1 2022, Q2 2022, and Q3 2022, before falling all the way to fourth place late last year and holding that position ever since. That means the iPhone 14's reign could also be coming to an end in the not-too-distant future, although it remains to be seen whether the iPhone 15 and 15 Pro Max models have what it takes to dominate the world in Q4 2023.
Note that the iPhone 14 Pro Max has surpassed the iPhone 14 to claim the crown of best-selling smartphone in Q4 2022 after entering the Top 10 during Q3 2022. Surprisingly, the iPhone 15, 15 Pro, and 15 Pro Max do not appear in the list of best-selling smartphones, which may stem from the steady popularity of the iPhone 14 series.
List of top 10 best-selling smartphones in Q3/2023
In that context, Samsung's Galaxy S23 series doesn't even appear on the list - bad news for the Korean company. The list of Top 10 best-selling smartphones in Q3 also recorded the weakness of the Galaxy A54 when it was surpassed by much cheaper products such as the Galaxy A14 and A14 4G. Even Xiaomi's super-cheap Redmi 12C could make the list, specifically at the 9th position.
