According to Neowin , some reputable sources revealed that Apple may delay the launch of the new low-cost iPad and iPad mini until late 2024.
This information was revealed by Mark Gurman, a reputable journalist of Bloomberg, in the latest Power On newsletter. According to Mr. Gurman, Apple is focusing on upgrading two high-end iPad models, iPad Pro and iPad Air, which are expected to be launched in the first week of May.
As for the standard iPad and iPad mini, the journalist said Apple may not launch a new version until late 2024. The reason given is that Apple wants to focus on improving its higher-end tablet models, instead of launching new low-cost versions.

However, users can still expect some minor improvements to the new iPad mini, such as an upgraded processor chip. Meanwhile, the standard model will likely just be a cheaper version of the current model.
As for the new iPad Pro and iPad Air, Gurman said they will likely feature OLED displays and Apple’s powerful M3 chip. However, they will likely be priced higher than the current models, which typically start at $749.
The new iPad Air is expected to launch in a 10.9-inch version and a brand new larger 12.9-inch version. New versions of accessories like the Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil will also launch alongside both the Pro and Air models.
Additionally, the journalist also revealed that Apple is researching the production of a foldable iPad. However, this project is still in the early stages and the company has not yet made a final decision on whether to produce it or not.
