Previously, when shooting videos on iPhone, if users wanted to pause in the middle, they were forced to stop recording completely. This resulted in the creation of many small videos, causing inconvenience when editing and interrupting the filming process. With iOS 18, this problem has been effectively solved.
Users can now easily pause recording by simply tapping the new pause button, located in the left corner of the video recording screen. When they want to continue, just tap the button again. This allows for seamless videos without the need for extensive editing after completion.
The pause button appears in the left corner of the video recording interface on iPhone.
Not only does it support regular users, the video pause feature also brings significant benefits to professional content creators.
Being able to pause and resume recording easily saves time during video production, reduces the burden of post-editing, and makes for a more convenient filming experience. For scenes that require continuity or don't want to create multiple separate video clips, this feature is a great help.
Apple said the video pause feature will be available on all new iPhone 16 models, and older iPhone models will also get the feature when iOS 18 is officially released on September 16, 2024.
