After the match between the Vietnamese women's team and Japan yesterday afternoon (November 1), coach Mai Duc Chung officially said goodbye to Vietnamese football. Captain Huynh Nhu shared her feelings about the 73-year-old coach.

After the match between the Vietnamese and Japanese women's teams, Huynh Nhu shared: "I remember the first day I trained with coach Mai Duc Chung. That year, he sent me back to the club. He told me to try harder."
Huynh Nhu added: "Since that day, I have tried very hard to return to the team. Thanks to that, I am who I am today. The time working with Mr. Chung helped me learn a lot of things.
All of that comes from the love and humility of a great coach. Coach Mai Duc Chung is a teacher with a warm heart."
Huynh Nhu is one of the most outstanding students in the career of coach Mai Duc Chung. The teacher and his students have achieved many glories with Vietnamese women's football.
Saying goodbye to coach Mai Duc Chung, Huynh Nhu is probably one of the most emotional players, because the most glorious years of this female player's career were the time she worked with coach Mai Duc Chung.
Huynh Nhu expressed: "I wish Coach Mai Duc Chung good health and happiness with his family. Uncle Chung will forever be in the hearts of those who are attached to Vietnamese women's football."
The day coach Mai Duc Chung said goodbye was also the day the Vietnamese women's team gave him a meaningful gift. It was the jersey of captain Huynh Nhu, signed by all the members of the Vietnamese women's team.
It is expected that tomorrow (November 3), the Vietnamese women's team will leave Uzbekistan to return home. The whole team will return to Hanoi on November 4.
