Huynh Ha Huu Hieu and Truong Cao Minh Phat won the WBC international Muay Thai belt.

The highlight of the MTR-The Rising Star event taking place on the evening of July 16 in Ho Chi Minh City was two matches featuring Vietnamese boxers. Truong Cao Minh Phat competed with Hicham Boulahri (Morocco) and Huynh Ha Huu Hieu fought Pornthip Khamthongphanow (Thailand) for the WBC international title.

In the match between the two female boxers, Huynh Ha Huu Hieu completely dominated Pornthip. The Vietnamese representative dominated all 3 rounds.

Huynh Ha Huu Hieu knocked out a Thai boxer.

In the third round, Huynh Ha Huu Hieu repeatedly hit his opponent in the face, making the Thai boxer dizzy. After about 1 minute of the third round, the referee signaled that Pornthip could not continue the match. Huynh Ha Huu Hieu won by knockout.

Huu Hieu just won the 32nd SEA Games gold medal.

Soon after, Truong Cao Minh Phat did the same. Hicham Boulahri presented a difficult challenge for the Vietnamese boxer, but Truong Cao Minh Phat still dominated the game. He calmly blocked many of his opponent's kicks, while also delivering quick and accurate punches.

Truong Cao Minh Phat convincingly defeated the Moroccan boxer.

In the third round, Boulahri began to lose strength compared to Truong Cao Minh Phat. The Moroccan boxer escaped a knockout when the referee counted. However, Boulahri's fighting condition was no longer good, he was staggering and did not have enough strength to defend.

Truong Cao Minh Phat ended the match with a knee that knocked Boulahri to the floor. The Vietnamese representative won by knockout and won the international WBC belt.
