Along with the National Target Programs for the 2021-2025 period, the National Target Program 1719 is a decisive factor in improving the lives of ethnic minorities, gradually reducing poverty sustainably, especially fundamentally changing the appearance of areas with a large number of ethnic minorities living.

The effective implementation of projects and sub-projects of the National Target Program 1719 has contributed to socio-economic development in extremely difficult areas in ethnic minority areas, thereby reducing the poverty rate and improving the lives of people in ethnic minority areas. Specifically: In 2020, the number of poor ethnic minority households was 601, accounting for 8.3%, of which the number of poor ethnic minority households in place was 292, accounting for 14.7%. By the end of 2023, the number of poor ethnic minority households was 560, accounting for 7.63%, of which the number of poor ethnic minority households in place was 264, accounting for 13.13%.

The above results have also contributed to improving and enhancing the material and spiritual life of the people. Culture, information, physical education and sports have been given attention, community cultural houses in particularly difficult villages and hamlets have been supported with investment in construction; many cultural identities of ethnic minorities have been restored through teaching classes such as brocade weaving, musical instrument making, folk singing, pole making and weaving. Vocational training and job introduction have been effectively implemented, many students have seized job opportunities after graduating from vocational courses. Ethnic minorities enjoy benefits in medical examination and treatment, health care, etc.
