At the construction area of Quang Tri Airport, the contractor mobilized machinery and human resources to urgently construct the main items of the project including the aircraft parking lot and material curb with a total area of 32,917 m2 .

According to the plan, these two items will be completed in January 2025. Other items such as auxiliary works, workers' housing, material gathering and processing area, operating house, transformer station... have been basically completed.
The current difficulty and problem is that some policies and regulations on compensation and support for site clearance (GPMB) have changed according to the provisions of the 2024 Land Law, Decree 88/2024/ND-CP dated July 15, 2024 of the Government (effective from August 1, 2024); Decision No. 14/2024/QD-UBND dated August 14, 2024 of the Provincial People's Committee (effective from August 24, 2024).... Gio Linh District People's Committee has reported to the Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Natural Resources and Environment for the Provincial People's Committee to give the policy to continue implementing the project's GPMB.

Regarding the problems related to the handover of the remaining site of the Quang Tri Airport project, the Provincial People's Committee will hold a meeting with departments, branches and localities to find solutions to resolve and soon complete the handover of the site to investors. Regarding the My Thuy Port Area project, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested Hai Lang district to urgently complete the site clearance work for the remaining 1.52 hectares of phase 1 to hand over the site to My Thuy International Port Joint Stock Company (MTIP).
At the same time, in coordination with MTIP, the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board will carry out the site clearance work for the additional area of 43.44 hectares in phase 1 to ensure the progress proposed by MTIP. MTIP is requested to direct the consulting unit to urgently prepare the forest conversion dossier and prepare the EIA dossier for the area in phase 2 and 3 of the project.
To ensure that the construction progress of projects is not interrupted during the rainy and stormy season, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested contractors to increase the mobilization of human resources and machinery to focus on speeding up the construction progress; especially for the My Thuy Port project, priority should be given to the construction of onshore items so as not to affect the overall progress.
