On October 24, Dr. Nguyen Trung Nguyen, Director of the Poison Control Center, Bach Mai Hospital, said that the center's doctors had just admitted a male patient, NTT (born in 1996, in Hanoi), who was hospitalized in critical condition due to smoking cigarettes laced with synthetic drugs.
This male patient was taken to the Poison Control Center for emergency treatment with headache, dizziness, slow heart rate, increased muscle tension reflex, metabolic acidosis due to stimulation... Through investigation, the patient said that the above symptoms appeared after smoking 2 cigarettes with the packaging "Get high" - super high, on the cigarette was the word bomb. This cigarette pack was purchased online and the origin is unknown. Previously, this young man also bought and used the same type of cigarette, but did not show the above symptoms.

Doctor Nguyen Trung Nguyen added that after receiving treatment for the patient, through testing the cigarette pack that patient NTT brought, the results showed that the cigarette fibers contained new generation synthetic drugs MDMB- BUTINACA and ADB-BUTINACA.
“These are all substances belonging to the group of synthetic cannabis drugs discovered in some electronic cigarette products that have caused serious poisoning in many cases that have been treated at the Poison Control Center in the past,” Dr. Nguyen Trung Nguyen emphasized, adding that this is the first time the center has recorded a case of synthetic drug poisoning due to smoking cigarettes.
