DNVN - On November 2 in Hanoi , Hung Nhon Group and Olmix Group (France) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on a cooperation program, linking the production chain and supplying livestock and poultry products according to Halal standards.

Attending the signing ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Duc Kien - former Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; Mr. Phung Duc Tien - Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development ; Mr. Mohammad Lutfor Rahman - Ambassador of Bangladesh to Vietnam; Mr. Soe Ko Ko - Charge d'Affaires, Embassy of Myanmar in Vietnam; representatives of trade counselors from France, Nigeria, Indonesia, Myanmar; together with leaders of the Department of Livestock Production, Department of Animal Health, Department of International Cooperation and representatives of agencies and departments in Hanoi.

On Hung Nhon's side, there was Mr. Vu Manh Hung - Vice President of Vietnam Digital Agriculture Association (VIDA), Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hung Nhon Group. On Olmix's side, there was Mr. Robert Clapham - General Director of Olmix Group; Mr. Trinh Quang Thanh - General Director of Olmix Vietnam.
In addition, the signing ceremony was also attended by senior leaders of the Royal De Heus Group: Mr. Koen De Heus - Chairman of the Group; Mr. Gabor Fluit - Global General Director; Mr. Johan van den Ban - General Director of Vietnam and Asia. This is one of the world's leading agricultural groups with over 130 years of experience in the Netherlands.

Sharing at the signing ceremony, Mr. Vu Manh Hung - Chairman of Hung Nhon Group, said that the goal of the cooperation is to promote the strengths of each party to link and develop the production chain, supplying Halal-standard agricultural products for export. Hung Nhon will join the members in the chain to invest and develop high-tech, high-value projects. Thereby expanding the production chain linkage, supplying Halal-standard poultry products (breeding and commercial products).
According to Mr. Vu Manh Hung, to realize this chain model, Hung Nhon and De Heus (DHN joint venture) are having a series of high-tech agricultural investment projects in the Central Highlands provinces and especially a series of huge projects in Tay Ninh.
Specifically, in the period of 2023-2030, DHN has agreed to invest in 12 high-tech agricultural projects in Tay Ninh with a total investment of nearly 10,000 billion VND. The goal by 2030 is that DHN will reach a capacity of about 37,500 great-grandfather and great-grandfather pigs and commercial sows in the Central Highlands, Southeast and South Central regions; 83 million breeding chickens and broilers for export in Tay Ninh. The total revenue of the chain is expected to reach 2 billion USD per year.

Talking about the decision to choose a partner for this long-term strategy, Mr. Vu Manh Hung said that Olmix Vietnam is an enterprise specializing in the production and exclusive distribution of veterinary medicine, aquatic products, and animal feed additives of many famous global brands, belonging to leading corporations, such as: Olmix, Boehringer Ingelheim, Dopharma, Biopharm...
“The products distributed by Olmix Vietnam are optimal solutions such as high-tech vaccines, supplements, drugs to prevent and treat internal and external parasites, vaccination services, etc. These are products that can control diseases in livestock farms, bring high economic efficiency, and at the same time protect and care for livestock health in the most comprehensive way,” said Mr. Vu Manh Hung.
Explaining the decision to "join hands" with Hung Nhon, Mr. Robert Clapham - General Director of Olmix Group, said that this is a prestigious and professional enterprise in the field of livestock farming in particular and in the high-tech agricultural industry in general in Vietnam.
“In particular, Hung Nhon has been cooperating with De Heus to build and develop a high-value chain, applying high technology in agriculture, thereby developing projects to produce and supply high-quality poultry products that meet Halal standards. This model is consistent with Olmix's development strategy,” said Mr. Robert Clapham.

Speaking further about the contents of the MoU signed by the two parties today, Mr. Robert Clapham said that Olmix Vietnam will provide chicken vaccine products and veterinary technical services to control diseases on livestock farms.
One of the products provided by Olmix Vietnam to Hung Nhon is the Boehringer Ingelheim (BI) chicken vaccine, headquartered in Germany, with factories in the US, Italy, France, etc. This is an effective solution in preventing poultry diseases, minimizing the use of antibiotics in livestock farming, helping to reduce antibiotic resistance, limit antibiotic residues in chicken meat and eggs, and ensure food safety.
In addition, Olmix Vietnam also provides Hung Nhon with many of the most modern veterinary technical services available today, such as: veterinary diagnosis and testing from Vipha.Lab; screening and health check of parent chicken flocks, broiler farms, commercial egg-laying farms; VTS vaccination equipment, improving vaccination productivity, vaccination quality, reducing stress for livestock; providing solutions to increase livestock productivity and prevent veterinary diseases effectively; training skilled workers and professional veterinarians.

Congratulating the cooperation of the two groups, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Phung Duc Tien highly appreciated Hung Nhon's strategic direction through cooperation with Olmix, because this is a group with a lot of experience in livestock farming, technical support and distribution of high-quality vaccines and the latest technology, especially vaccines for the poultry farming industry that meet Halal standards.

“The use of quality vaccines provided by Olmix also contributes to creating products that meet food hygiene and safety standards, export standards, especially Halal standards,” Deputy Minister Phung Duc Tien shared.
With more than 15 years of experience in the livestock industry in Vietnam, Mr. Gabor Fluit - Global General Director of De Heus Group, believes that the main challenge that farmers face is controlling diseases occurring on the farm. Not only paying attention to preventing disease outbreaks, but more importantly, livestock must be protected from all possible variations of the disease.
