Friendly like Lao University team
Coincidentally, the three teams from Lao University, Life University (Cambodia) and Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) all arrived at the airport at nearly 3pm, while only the Malaysian University team took the night flight. Members of the teams were assisted by security forces, customs at Tan Son Nhat airport and the tournament organizers to arrange separate lanes to quickly complete immigration procedures, collect luggage and move to the hotel.

As the largest team on the first day with 26 members, Lao University immediately won everyone's sympathy with its friendliness, neatness and openness. Head coach Amphaivanh Chanthalavong shared: "My first impression is that the climate here is really good, and Ho Chi Minh City is modern. We feel very warm when receiving the thoughtful attention of the Organizing Committee. This is a large-scale, important tournament, so we have prepared carefully as the team is a collection of the best students from 4 major universities in Laos. In particular, our students will have the opportunity to exchange and learn in an international tournament, with the participation of students from many countries in the region. We will try our best to contribute to good, beautiful matches and strive to win, achieving the best results".
Impressed with the warm welcome
Arriving in Ho Chi Minh City, the first 6 members of the Life University team (the reigning Cambodian student football champions) appeared very comfortable, saying that the weather here was no different from Phnom Penh. Center-back Sogheng (2nd year student, Faculty of Business Administration) shared: "Flying on the same flight, I saw many players from Lao University carrying the backpacks of the Lao team, seemingly national youth players. This will be a formidable opponent. But we came to the tournament with the desire to win and conquer. I think the tournament will be of very high quality and attractive, especially when watching the 2 host teams Vietnam from the matches in the THACO Cup 2025 TNSV Finals". Coach Kong Vechaka confided: "From the moment we arrived in Ho Chi Minh City, we clearly felt the warm welcome of the Organizing Committee. This is the first time the Life University team has participated in an international tournament. The teams participating in this tournament are all very strong. Our goal is to try our best to win the championship cup, after the whole team has practiced hard for a long time."

The first two members of the Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) team to arrive in Ho Chi Minh City were Head of Delegation Muhammad Syafiq Bin Juffri and Head Coach Saswadimata Bin Dasuki. "We are happy to be warmly welcomed at the airport. Thank you to the Organizing Committee. The whole team is ready with high morale. We highly appreciate the 2025 International TNSV Tournament. It is a great honor to participate in this tournament. We came here with two purposes: to dedicate ourselves to conquering glory, and at the same time demonstrate the spirit of solidarity with teams in the Southeast Asian region," Mr. Bin Juffri shared. Having just won the 2024 Singapore School Football Championship, the Nanyang Technological University team has prepared carefully, practicing since the beginning of March, honing techniques and playing friendly matches with local teams to gain experience.
Coach Bin Dasuki emphasized: "Every team participating in the tournament wants to win the championship. We will try our best in the competition, but more importantly, we want to demonstrate the noble spirit of sportsmanship, solidarity, mutual support and contribute to the development of school football in the region. We are opponents, but also friends."
