The project will adaptively restore the entire relic of the Temple of Literature's main hall, the Temple of Literature's gate, and the temple yard; repair the broken roof, clean the surface of Dai Thanh gate and Kim Thanh gate; adaptively restore the semicircular boat dock; embellish the trees and landscape of the relic area...

The adjustment to increase the project's investment level aims to add items of interior equipment, worship items, toilets, ticket booths, guides... The project will be implemented from 2025 and completed in 3 years.

As for the Quoc Tu Giam relic, after adjustment, the total investment of the project was raised to 108 billion VND, an increase of about 48 billion VND compared to the initial approval passed in 2021 (60 billion VND).

Specifically, after adjusting the capital, the project was adjusted from local restoration to general restoration (demolition) for the main Di Luan Duong project; adding items such as the Huynh Tu Thu Thanh stele house and the interior of Di Luan Duong, and 2 left and right study houses. The project will be implemented from 2025 and is expected to be completed after 4 years.

According to historical documents, Quoc Tu Giam was built by King Gia Long in 1803 with the original name of Doc Hoc Duong, located next to Van Mieu in An Ninh Thuong village, Huong Tra district. In March 1820, King Minh Mang changed the name to Quoc Tu Giam. This is a national university opened by the Nguyen Dynasty to train talented people for the country.

In 1908, under King Duy Tan, the Nguyen Dynasty moved the Imperial Academy to the Hue Citadel (now No. 1, 23/8 Street, Hue City).

Quoc Tu Giam, along with the Nguyen Dynasty royal relic system, has been on the UNESCO world heritage list since 1993.

The Temple of Literature (also known as Van Thanh) was built in 1808 under the reign of King Gia Long in An Binh village, An Ninh village, west of Hue citadel (now in Huong Ho ward, Hue city). This place used to have nearly 20 large constructions such as the main hall of the Temple of Literature (worshiping hall), the eastern and western halls, the kitchen gods, the treasury gods...

The Temple of Literature was built to worship Confucius and other sages and scholars. There are still 32 stone steles in the Temple of Literature, engraved with the names of 293 doctors of the Nguyen Dynasty, starting from the first examination in the 3rd year of Minh Mang (1822) to the last examination in the 4th year of Khai Dinh (1919).
