Information about Huawei's tri-fold screen smartphone has been continuously leaked recently and it seems that the Chinese technology company is ready to launch the product.
Accordingly, Huawei will hold a special event on September 10, which will most likely be an opportunity for the Chinese technology company to introduce its first triple-folding screen smartphone.
Although Huawei did not reveal too many details about the product it will launch, Richard Yu, Chairman and CEO of Huawei Consumer Business Group, said the company will launch a "revolutionary product" at this event.
"Huawei will bring the most innovative, groundbreaking and leading product. This will be a revolutionary product that many people thought would be impossible. After 5 years of perseverance and investment, we have turned science fiction into reality. This is the pinnacle of Huawei, let's wait and see," Richard Yu shared on his personal social networking site.
Huawei also posted a short clip on social media, showing that the upcoming product will be called Mate XT. Thus, Huawei's tri-fold screen smartphone will be branded Mate, the Chinese technology company's foldable screen smartphone line.
Huawei's short video seems to reveal that the Mate XT smartphone will focus on video recording, with the ability to zoom seamlessly while recording.
According to insiders, Huawei's tri-fold smartphone will have a 10-inch wide screen when fully opened, equivalent to a large tablet. Users can also use the external screen on the product like a regular bar-shaped smartphone.
Sources say the Mate XT will be equipped with the most advanced Kirin 9010 chip developed by Huawei, with the ability to support 5G networks, along with 16GB of RAM to help the product multitask smoothly, making the most of the large screen. The product is said to be equipped with a large capacity 7,500mAh battery, divided into 3 separate batteries.
A Weibo social media account also shared images said to be real shots of the Mate XT, showing that the product has an impressively thin design and the fingerprint sensor will be integrated into the power button located on the side of the device.
Notably, leaked information said that the Mate XT will cost up to 35,000 yuan, equivalent to 4,000 USD. This is an expensive price for a smartphone, but is it worth it for the world's first triple-folding screen smartphone?
Thus, Huawei will launch the Mate XT at almost the same time as Apple's iPhone 16 series. Previously, Apple announced that it would hold a special event on September 9 (early morning of September 10, Vietnam time).
Let's wait and see what new devices Apple and Huawei will launch and which product will really be the "shining star".
