Huawei's transformation in AI
In the latest move, Huawei has invested up to 413 million USD in Dongguan Jimu Machinery Company, a Chinese enterprise specializing in manufacturing technology components. Notably, this is not the first time Huawei has invested in Dongguan Jimu Machinery as the company poured about 127 million USD into this partner last year.
Both companies said the investment will help strengthen their presence in areas such as import and export, engineering research and technology development. The investment will not only help Huawei take advantage of technological advances but also demonstrate their commitment to the development of AI.
One of Huawei’s major moves is the opening of a major AI center in Shenzhen, which will promote the application of AI in robotics and other fields. The center also collaborates with leading Chinese robotics companies, a move that shows Huawei’s commitment to innovation and technological development.
According to the latest report from World Robotics 2024, China has surpassed countries like Germany and Japan in the field of robotics. This creates a stronger incentive for Huawei to continue investing and expanding its operations in this field.
