On November 26, in Ha Giang city, the conference on educational exchange between four Vietnamese border provinces including Ha Giang, Cao Bang, Lang Son, Quang Ninh and the Zhuang Autonomous Region, Guangxi Province (China) was held.

Over the past years, the implementation of cooperation program agreements between four border provinces of Vietnam and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China) has contributed to building and developing friendly relations and educational cooperation between the two sides. The two sides have established and signed memorandums of understanding.

Education managers of four Vietnamese border provinces had the opportunity to meet and exchange experiences with education managers of Guangxi Province (China). Many students were granted full scholarships to study at universities in the two countries. In 2024, the Zhuang Autonomous Region granted scholarships to four Vietnamese border provinces; Ha Giang Province alone was granted 18 university scholarships and 2 master's scholarships.

The conference spent a lot of time discussing and exchanging solutions to improve the effectiveness of the cooperation program between the four border provinces of Vietnam and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China) in the spirit of joining hands to make efforts to implement the "Memorandum of Understanding on Friendship and Cooperation between the four border provinces of Vietnam and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China); thoroughly implementing the "16-word" motto and the "4 Goods" spirit, consolidating political trust and the tradition of friendship, promoting exchanges and cooperation in all fields, opening up a new situation in the friendly cooperation between the two sides, contributing to bringing the Vietnam-China Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership to a new height.

At the Conference, leaders of the Department of Education and Training of four border provinces of Vietnam and the Department of Education of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China); the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Ha Giang province signed a Memorandum of Understanding in 2024 on developing friendly relations and cooperation in education between four border provinces of Vietnam and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China).

Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Minh Hang led a delegation of leaders of relevant departments and branches of five localities including Ca Mau, Ninh Thuan, Ninh Binh, Nam Dinh and Vinh Long to visit and work in Guangxi, China.
