At the beginning of the season, traders came to the garden to deposit, the selling price at the garden was from 35,000 - 45,000 VND/kg, this crispy persimmon crop brought in an income of nearly 250 million VND.

The family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga, in Yen Du village, said: "Growing Yen Du crispy persimmons is quite easy in terms of care, only picking persimmons is difficult, because they have been grown for many years, the tree is 8-10m tall, when harvesting the fruit, the picker must wear a belt to climb the branches to avoid accidents.

However, due to the economic efficiency of the crispy rose apple tree, my family is planning to expand the planting area to 100 more rose apple trees next year."

To keep Yen Du crispy rose bushes healthy, durable, and productive, it is necessary to improve the soil every year, add composted manure, and microbial organic fertilizer around the roots after each harvest.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Hue is one of 7 members of the Binh Du organic persimmon production cooperative in Yen Du village, Duc Linh commune. After the Yen Du crispy persimmon tree of the cooperative achieved 3-star OCOP standard, the members were instructed to produce according to organic standards.

Mr. Nguyen Van Duong - Head of the Binh Du organic persimmon production cooperative, Yen Du village, Duc Linh commune, said: "The technique for cultivating Yen Du crispy persimmons is almost natural, only needing to fertilize with decomposed manure and organic microbial fertilizer from planting to harvest.

In particular, Yen Du crispy persimmon trees have few pests and diseases, so they do not need to use pesticides. Since Yen Du crispy persimmon products have met the province's 3-star OCOP product standards and organic standards. The value of Yen Du crispy persimmons has increased, more and more customers know about them, and the selling price is high.

According to locals, the Yen Du crispy persimmon tree is old and has many fruits, but has no seeds so it cannot be planted.

Therefore, Vu Quang district has coordinated with Duc Linh commune to transfer science and technology to propagate persimmons by grafting, provide seedlings, expand the area of ​​Yen Du crispy persimmons, create products with commercial properties, convenient for consumption, and improve economic efficiency for people.

Currently, the whole Duc Linh commune has more than 70 hectares of Yen Du crispy persimmons with over 200 households. According to estimates, the average annual yield is nearly 100 tons, the economic efficiency from Yen Du crispy persimmons is over 3 billion VND.
