More than 5,600 entries for children's literature contest 'Magical friendship'

The contest was organized by the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union in collaboration with Tuoi Tre newspaper. There were 5,618 entries in two genres: poetry and prose sent by children from primary and secondary schools.

Honoring young authors who write children's literature

In the end, the Youth Union of District 4, Binh Tan and Thu Duc City won the collective prize. 44 young authors received individual prizes in two categories.

Specifically, group A (primary school) and group B (secondary school), each group has 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes and 5 consolation prizes, corresponding to each genre of prose and poetry.

In the first prize of poetry category, group A belongs to Nguyen Ngoc Thien Phuc (class 2/4, My Thuy Primary School, Thu Duc City) with the work Good friend . Group B belongs to Phan Trong Nhan (class 8/3, Dong Thanh Secondary School, Hoc Mon District) with the work If you are sad, lean on my shoulder .

Meanwhile, the first prize in the prose category of group A was awarded to Hoang Do Anh Duy (class 4/3, Tan Phu Primary School, Thu Duc City) with the work The Bear, and group B was awarded to Nguyen Thi Tuong Lam (class 9TC3, Binh An Secondary School, District 8) with the work My "Silent" Friend .

Closing of the colorful Children's Festival

The 2024 Ho Chi Minh City Children's Festival closed on the evening of June 2, after 3 days of taking place, attracting a large number of parents and children to attend.

Ms. Huynh Lan (District 1) said that the early rain on the first day hindered things a bit, but the weather on the last day was so nice and convenient, allowing her family to relax and have more fun.

Lan’s eldest daughter, Lam Hoang Thao Nhi (10 years old), has been attending extracurricular classes at the Ho Chi Minh City Children’s House for many years. Lan said that the children’s house environment helps children learn more skills, communicate better, connect with the community and develop emotional intelligence from a young age.

The closing ceremony was more exciting with performances selected from the "Nightingale Songs" festival. More than 40 performances created a bustling atmosphere, contributing to the colorful children's festival.

The 2nd Ho Chi Minh City Children's Festival (Kids Fest) "Children today - World tomorrow" opened on the evening of May 31, also the kick-off activity for summer 2024, at the Ho Chi Minh City Children's House.

Organized from connecting social resources, the festival has many activities serving children and families. Thereby creating connection and honoring family in today's social life.

This year, the festival has a children's theater stage, using the Facebook Filter platform to allow children to experience and interact with their favorite cartoon characters.

At the same time, registering for tickets to Kids Fest 2024 through social media challenges. This is a new feature compared to the first festival held in 2023.
