More than 400 million VND for potential tour guides

After the launch, as of July 29, nearly 300 students have registered to take the exam, most of whom are students studying tourism, hotel and restaurant management, communications, etc.

This is a contest hosted by the University of Finance - Marketing under the direct direction of the Council of Rectors of universities in Ho Chi Minh City and the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism.

With the theme "Dare to Dazzle - Dare to shine, dare to sparkle", each stage of the competition will have its own challenges to help contestants improve their knowledge and hone their guiding skills.

In the preliminary round, contestants record videos and take multiple-choice tests. The 30 contestants with the highest scores will advance to the semi-finals.

In the semi-finals, contestants will show off their presentation and cheerleading skills. The 10 contestants with the highest scores will advance to the final round on September 15.

Dr. Le Trung Dao, Vice Principal of the University of Finance and Marketing, head of the competition organizing committee, said that in addition to knowledge about people and geography, practical skills are very important for future tour guides. In addition, through the competition, candidates can find attractive job opportunities.

"The competition is organized on a city-level academic scale, with a total prize value of more than 400 million VND. Outstanding candidates will have the opportunity to receive trips to Thailand, Cambodia..." - Dr. Dao added.
