According to information from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, implementing the first round of general cleaning, disinfection and environmental detoxification in 2024, from March 1 to April 20, localities have disinfected and detoxified more than 2.03 million m2 . Including nearly 13,900 livestock and poultry farms and households; 122 livestock and poultry slaughterhouses; 86 markets (including spontaneous markets); 173 grazing points, livestock and poultry burial pits, and public places.
The total amount of chemicals used for disinfection and sterilization of the livestock environment during this period was 1,517 liters of Via-iodine, Bencocid and 22,850 kg of lime.
In addition, livestock and poultry farming facilities and households in localities have also done a good job of clearing grass and bushes around houses and livestock and poultry farming areas; and handling daily waste from livestock farming such as collecting, lime composting, dredging sewers, and spraying disinfectants periodically outside of the plan. Some farming households, slaughterhouses, and concentrated livestock farms have wastewater treatment systems that meet requirements.
