Within the framework of the activities, many important events also took place such as organizing exchange programs, introducing products, signing cooperation agreements, livestreaming booth introductions, promoting products, organizing seminars, technology demonstrations, discussions, etc.
The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province said that with the goal of increasing the value of agricultural products, handicrafts, and local specialties, OCOP has created a great opportunity for businesses, cooperatives, and production organizations to promote their products to domestic and foreign markets, thereby promoting sustainable economic development.
In recent times, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province has actively and synchronously implemented the OCOP program, attracting the participation of a large number of farmers, production facilities, cooperatives and enterprises.
The event featured hundreds of OCOP products.
Up to now, there have been outstanding products with high quality, imbued with local cultural identity and strong competitiveness in the market.
Up to now, the whole province of Ba Ria - Vung Tau has 153 products of 82 entities recognized as OCOP products with 3 stars or more. Among them, there are products considered local products such as: cashew nuts, cocoa, pepper, processed seafood products... Each OCOP product is also considered a "cultural ambassador" of the locality, showing the traditions, customs, and living habits of the people.
The event to introduce OCOP products associated with traditional craft villages of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province in 2024 will take place for 3 days, from December 27 to 29.
