Records at some high school graduation exam councils in Ho Chi Minh City show that candidates come to the exam site to complete exam procedures with a comfortable and confident mood.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, said that in case candidates forget their documents or exam cards, they can go to the head of the exam site to report the matter to the head of the exam site for resolution. Running back to get the documents will cause unnecessary stress and pressure, making it impossible for them to do well on the exam.
In Ho Chi Minh City, the 2024 high school graduation exam has 90,062 candidates taking the exam. Of which, there are 74,542 high school candidates, 9,735 continuing education candidates and 5,785 independent candidates. The total number of candidates exempted from the foreign language exam in the high school graduation exam: 13,076. The total number of candidates exempted from all exams in the high school graduation exam: 86.
Mr. Le Hoai Nam, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training, added that at this year's high school graduation exam, the department once again thoroughly informed all exam supervisors in the upcoming exam, and thoroughly informed candidates in the room to absolutely not bring items that are not allowed into the exam room or exam site, especially cell phones.
“Cases where students accidentally or intentionally bring their phones into the exam room when discovered will definitely be severely punished,” Mr. Nam emphasized. Along with that, the exam supervisors of that exam room and the leaders of the exam site, especially the head of the exam site, will also be considered and disciplined by the department (depending on the level, the lowest being a disqualification from the quarter).
The leaders of the Department of Education and Training requested that the invigilators remind students not to bring their phones into the exam room continuously, repeatedly, even before opening the exam so that if students accidentally bring their phones, they can change it.

The following items are allowed in the examination room: Pens, graphing rulers, pencils, rulers, erasers, drawing tools, squares, Vietnam Geography Atlas, handheld calculators without word processing function and without memory cards.
Candidates are not allowed to bring the following items into the examination room: Carbon paper, correction pens, alcoholic beverages, weapons and explosives, flammable substances, documents, communication devices or information storage devices to cheat during the examination.
